Capturing the Uncapturable

There are times (not many) that I'm really impressed with something I've seen on the web--a flash intro or video, an audio or photo that's particularly appealing. These files are usually embedded into a web page and so can't be saved as a separate file to your hard drive. Now, however, you can get those embedded media files for your own fair use if you use Mozilla's Firefox browser. There's a short, simple tutorial on doing this at inner.geek.nz.

Plagiarism Prevention Possibility

The Modern Day Alchemist posted an article about Copyscape, a service that allows you to find "copies of your page on the web." They provide a pay service as well as the free service and allow websites to post a "do not copy" banner to deter plagiarism. Upon checking, I found it easy to use. I also discovered that no one is copying the Rock Tech Talk content. Once we become an international phenomenon, however, I'm sure that will change :)
