Put a Little Map in Your Site...
Wikimapia, via Lifehacker, has a tip for adding a Google map to your web site. Seems pretty slick and useful. The following is my haphazard attempt to map SRU into the blog. Maybe the concept needs a little work, or maybe I need a little help. Take a look at the Eiffel Tower for a better example. Category: Web_

Wow...great minds think alike. I was just going to post about Google Maps.
I just finished reading a great article in Technology & Learning about creating Google Map Mashups. The article (http://www.techlearning.com/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=187002846), from the May 2006 issue (summer is a great time to catch up on reading!), can be found online. According to the article, map mashups are combinations of Google Maps with other services. They provide a great example of creating a walking route using the Google Map and Gmap Pedometer together. It'll automatically calulate the distance you'll walk and provide a map of the route you've chosen. Additional applications are discussed in the article. I'm adding it to my reading list for our preservice teachers!
BTW...enjoy Paris!
